WHY DO THEY NEED THEIR OWN GEAR- DOESN'T PONY GEAR COME IN THOSE SIZES?

Ponies can be roughly the same sizes as donkeys, but they're a very different shape. Think about wearing straight-cut jeans if you're curvy, or curvy-cut jeans if you're linear. Fit matters because it effects comfort, safety and durability- plus, nobody wants to look like a sack of potatoes. So yes, Virginia, donkeys REALLY DO NEED their own couture.

AREN'T THEY LIKE A PONY, BUT WITH LONG EARS?

No. A thousand times no.

SO YOU DON'T LIKE PONIES?

I love ponies. I can love ponies AND donkeys at the same time even though they are not the same thing.

BUT A DONKEY AND A MULE ARE THE SAME THING, RIGHT? OR IS THAT AN ASS? AND WHAT'S A BURRO?

A burro is a donkey. An ass is a donkey. A mule is a hybrid who has a mare for a mother and a jack donkey for a father. There are also zeedonk hybrids, sometimes called zonkeys, created by breeding with zebras.

WILL YOUR DONKEY TURNOUT BLANKET FIT A ZEEDONK?

Yes, almost certainly.

DO I REALLY NEED TO KEEP A DONKEY WITH ANOTHER DONKEY? CAN'T I KEEP THEM WITH A GOAT OR PONY FOR A FRIEND?

Donkeys need at least one other donkey companion; this is what they almost invariably choose when they have a choice. Keep your donkeys in pairs or more; then you can add other equine friends if that works for your farm.

DO YOU SELL OR BREED DONKEYS?

Nope! If you're looking to add donkeys to your life contact a reputable donkey, equine or large animal rescue in your neck of the woods.

DO YOU ALSO SELL HORSE BLANKETS?

DO I NEED TO MEASURE MY DONKEY FOR A BLANKET OR CAN YOU JUST GUESS WHAT SIZE WILL FIT BASED ON MY VAGUE DESCRIPTIONS LIKE "NOT THAT BIG" AND "AVERAGE SIZE?"

You really should measure- it only takes a few minutes. Our blankets have super-adjustable fronts and an oversized tail flap to make the perfect fit easy within each size. We make blankets and sheets in sizes 45-72.

WHY DO DONKEYS NEED A BLANKET (THAT'S A RUG TO YOU BRITS!) IN CRAPPY WEATHER?

Not all donkeys do, a lot depends on what your climate is. No matter how fuzzy a donkey gets, their coat is not waterproof and cannot shed rain and wet precipitation like a horse's winter coat. They evolved in deserts and arid climates, and generally despise cold wet weather.
